Welcome to Llanffynnon and welcome to Pembrokeshire, the second best coastal destination in the entire world (it’s true National Geographic says so). Pembrokeshire is such an amazing place to escape to. Whether you’re a family coming to spend summer on sunny beaches, a couple wrapping up next to a roaring fire in the deep winter, a working retreat or simply to reconnect with the sea, we know you’ll love it and our charming cottage would love to house you for your stay.

Who are we?

The cottage

Llanffynnon is a traditional Welsh stone cottage, with beamed ceilings, situated in a quiet, friendly, rural village. On the ground floor the kitchen is well equipped and has an electric cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave; it opens up through an archway into the dining room. The cosy lounge has a log burner, 2 sofas, armchair and TV/DVD. There is wireless, fibre-optic broadband. The shower room is also on the ground floor. A washing machine and tumble dryer are in the old dairy attached to the cottage. The 2 bedrooms are upstairs, one double and a large twin bedded room. There is a small garden at the front. The back garden, bordered by a stone wall is mainly lawn with a patio which is a fabulous suntrap for most of the year. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

A walk away

You can stroll down the lanes and footpaths to the nearest beaches of Aberbach and Abermawr and to the working woollen mill at Tregwynt, all within 30 minutes. In spring the lanes are a blaze of colour and we’ve seen bats at dusk and a badger or two.

Another great holiday staying at Llanffynnon. Such a cosy cottage. We had a really fun time at the Blue Lagoon, it was clear blue skies and lots of sunshine.

What people say

We love it when people sign our guest book. Here are some kind words from a few of our previous guests who’ve stayed in Llanffynnon.

Many thanks for a cosy, comfortable, trouble free stay. Friendly neighbours and a quite position. Recommended - Aber Mawr and Aber Bach beach - very dog friendly and few people there - 30 mins walk. Stumble Head and Pwllderi - amazing sunsets - 10 mins drive! The coastal path - fantastic scenery. My best wishes to all following guests for a lovely holiday. The weather is always amazing and good and I come to the area often.
We arrived exhausted and stressed and after a week in this beautiful cottage we feel great. The flowers and birds have been spectacular and we loved everything about being here. The cottage is so clean and cosy and everything you need is here. We’ve loved sitting in the garden and the peace. We’ll definitely be back.
What a wonderful, peaceful way to spend Xmas (Lovely Xmas lunch at “The Wolfe”). Enjoyed walking to beaches with out spaniel, Bonnie. So beautiful. Cottage lovely + homely - husband enjoyed lighting the wood burner at night!
Lovely holiday! 1/2 hour walk to the beach, great views. Perfect home away from home in Hampshire! We will love to come back again. Thank you!
Thanks for having us at such short notice! Great weather (honestly!), particularly enjoyed walks round Strumble Head and Whitesands, but most of all having a cosy cottage with a roaring fire!
We have enjoyed both our stays. Very good walks from the cottage, the dogs loved it!! The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped!
A perfect cottage in a fantastic location. We've had an amazing time, lots of picturesque walks, hopping on and off the Strumble Shuttle and meeting warm, friendly people: looking forward to our next holiday here.

We love Pembrokeshire

We have been holidaying in this lovely part of the world since I was four. It was a place that my Mum discovered and fell in love with when she was in her teens. Through the years my brothers and I have enjoyed hot summer days in the sea and warm winter nights cuddled up next to the fire watching films. This part of the world is so gorgeous and wonderful and I continue to return to Llanffynnon with family and friends, constantly making new discoveries, adventures and wonderful memories. Sam: the eldest.
